Jacking points

Are the only jacking points on this car the four corners by the wheels between those two little notches? If so, is there some sort of an adapter you can get to use a floor jack in these areas instead of the scissor jack that comes with the car? Is there a central jacking point in the front of the car so I can jack up the entire front end at once instead of using the corners?

Thanks to both of you guys, that is just what I was looking for. Lots of good info in that book too. Where did you find it, and what is it?

If this is the route taken (which is a reasonable one) be certain to cut a slit in the block of an adequate width. Otherwise you'll bend/crush your seam flange.

That jack point in the front is what I prefer to use for oil changes on my other vehicles, but on my Max, the plastic shroud got in the way. My jack kept slipping off. I ended up jacking each side up at the side jack points and using jack stands instead. Has anyone else had trouble with the front jack point or is it just user error on my part?

So if you are using those areas as the lift point for the jack, are you just putting the jack stand directly “behind” it on that same rail? Need to do oil change and debating on this or just building 2x12 ramps.

I put the jack stands under the subframe near where the lower control arm bolts to the frame.
