Tire upgrade now that I'm in the South
Tire upgrade now that I'm in the South
Hi y'all- just moved to South Carolina. Now with no worries of snow, what tires will give me better traction than the originals so that I can accelerate without the front tires peeling?
You are going to want a soft compound tire. They are grippier but you will still probably smoke them from a standing start. Better to ease out just a little then peg it.
Used to street race a bit in my youth, and the guys that smoked their tires usually lost. Looked cool but they bought a lot of tires.

Read reviews, and make your choice of tires.
Max Performance Summer tires...does not matter what brand you buy, even if you don't like them, they will be worn out before you hate them. Look at the UTQG number, 280-320 range. They will not last long, and before you know it, you can spend another $800.00 or more on new tires, all because you don't want to spin your tires as you accelerate.
