2017 Maxima SR

111k miles. Just started get a pretty strong shake at 70+ mph. It seems to shake even more when hitting the brakes. My assumption is either a stuck brake or brake related. New Pirelli tires less than a week old, balanced and aligned. So i don't suspect tires unless one was just defective. Brakes have never been replaced or touched.

Also I just noticed a fairly loud click while the car is idling. Sounds like valves opening and closing. No rattle just a clicking noise.

Thoughts on these two issues?

If the vibration appeared right after changing tires, it's tires related.
On the clicking sound, see this thread: https://maxima.org/forums/8th-genera...ide-vents.html

Thanks. I honestly can't say if it came right after the tires as I can't recall since I was still having bearing issues prior to getting them fixed but its definitely came about since then.

One or some of the new tires lose some shims?

Honestly not even sure what shims are. Took it to the dealership today. Rebalance didn't fix the issue.

All of these systems, low growl at low RPMs, and shaking happen around me changing my sparkplugs as well.

Seeing how you have to remove the intake manifold to get to a couple spark plugs could the manifold cause the car to growl and shake if it wasn't reattached correctly or if the gasket went bad?

Will say this no check engine lights, no codes, just shaking bad and seems to be running rough with a growl at low RPM. CVT doesn't seem to be shifting bad but could it be the culprit of bad shaking or would there be other issues with it if it was going bad outside of shaking?

I think it’s the rotors. Because I know for a fact when you brake they shake the car. At 110K It’s best you should inspect those.
