Rear Wheel Noise

Hello all,

I purchased a new 2019 Maxima last week and notice a slight noise coming from the back passenger wheel when driving. It is a slight metal on metal noise, but is not very loud. I only noticed it after a friend was outside their car while i was pulling in the parking lot and they noticed the noise.

Anyone else having a wheel issue with a 2019 Maxima?

Thanks

If you haven't already done it, make an appointment to your dealership. Warranty work. Probably something simple. You could just jack up the back end and spin the wheel and see if there is anything rubbing.

A known issue I had with my 2016 Platinum where it would emit a faint brake/rotor squeak at very low speeds as I left the driveway. Could only hear with the window down. I notice my 2019 starting the make the same noise @ 2800 miles on the clock so this time I will get it written up @ oil change time.

PS My 2016 had 43000 miles on it when traded. No problems with the brakes performance as they were the factory orginals, just squeaked at speeds under 5 mph. (Plenty of pad material left so it was not the "wear indicator" making the noise)

Thanks! I am bringing it into the dealer tonight as it makes the noise at all speeds. A neighbor seems to think it is just the rear metal guard that has a minor bend. I also had a 2016 Maxima and did notice a slight squeak a low speeds with the windows down. Had it for 40K miles and only had to replace the rear brakes. Will keep you updated on the outcome at the dealer!

Dealer fixed the rear drum guard which was bent and slightly scraping against the rotor, noise is gone!

Appreciate your follow up. I will suggest they look at that when my 2019 goes in for service.
