emergency braking

I always have been looking for info on emergency braking. It seems to me that the car companies don't really give good info on how well the systems work.
I have a 2017 maxima, the 2019 actually has a better rating for 25mph emergency braking. the 2019 avoids a crash at 25mph.
My wife 2017 toyota also got a good rating for avoiding 25mph crashes.

I hate to say this, but even with Safety Shield 360, my 2019 seems more "delayed" in hitting the brakes than my 2016.
It also lacks the level 1 and level 2 (out of 4) warnings in the central gauge cluster.

Note that my 2016 saved my *** when someone blew through a red light (left turn) and I had little time to stop. By the time I put my foot on the brake, it was stiff enough (and the car slowed enough) that we completely avoided an accident without tire marks. PRO TIP - when you do an emergency stop, make sure there aren't cars in the left/right lanes - I nearly side-swapped a driver to my right - they were paying attention and swerved right.

Based on the intelligent cruise control bugs (notably that it jams the brakes, then mashes the accelerator), again, I give the nod to the 2016-18 model which has the exposed camera.

My 2019 does this too though not as much as my 2016 did. Fortunately the 2019s system can be brought up in a conventional old style non radar cruise mode which is far better for open road running. By the way, just rented a Toyota Camery and the radar cruise mode in that car had was far smoother.

Totally agree. Although my 2016 was more abrupt on e braking and when a vehicle or truck entered our path, the 2019 is harsh on initial.

There just isn’t enough power (voltage) to be on par with new 48V cars.

If you do all this it wont be much of an emergency stop. How about the car behind you, does he get a warning before the emergency stop?
My definition of an emergency stop is slamming on the brakes, with no warning of the danger. Doing this you don't have the opportunity to clear yourself of the lanes alongside and hope and pray the person behind you is not too close. Just saying.
