garage jack point
Just buy you a set of Rhino Ramps to do the oil changes, they work great and make oil changes (and other things) easy.
Just back off slowly to keep from hitting the ramps.

First on our list is the Rhino Ramp. This is one of the most popular, basic car ramps that you can purchase today based on the sheer volume of good reviews it receives. It is also one of the best values due to the low price that these sell for.
Made of a plastic polymer, the Rhino Ramp has a 17° ramp angle and will lift your vehicle 6.5” off the ground. It has a rubber pad under the front of the ramp to help prevent slippage when you first drive onto it and they can handle tires with a tread contact patch of 9” in width. They are not the best ramp for low profile vehicles however.

I don't have pictures right now, but there is a little bump centered on the subframe in the front portion of the car, just rear of the plastic undershield. That's where I put the jack and then put jack stands where the pinch welds are on each side. For me, those ramps wouldn't work because I take the passenger front wheel off to access the oil filter. It's not required, but it makes things a lot easier. Plus, I rotate my wheels the same time I change the oil.
I looked in the maintenance manual of my 2017 Maxima (8th generation) and I've found where to position the jack that comes with the car, which is kind of obvious where it is. Same as ANY other existing car cars, there are 2 "v" notches to mark the location under the subframe.
I believe everyone is asking where to position a garage jack. I could not find that on my manual.
here is a post in the 7th generation Maxima forum (link below) and I'd like to know if they are the same for the 8th generation ones.

Does anyone have a link to the Rhino Ramp model that they like and use? I just got rid of some really old metal ones I had because the ramp angle only worked with an old pickup I used to have.
I also take the passenger side front wheel off when changing the oil on my Maxima, it's much easier that way.
