Rattle by front passenger A-pillar

Anyone have a rattle here? By the plastic speaker grille?
Sounds like plastic on plastic; worse in cold weather.
Yes, I know I can go to the dealer, and it might be deep (i.e. quality lapse of an overtightened screw), but wondering if there is a quick fix...

I just dropped off my car, so I won’t be able to confirm until Wednesday.

but it’s not this “deep” or “baritone”. It’s also not as loud as it appears here.

yeah.. sound different then what I’ve had. Happens only when cold weather?

Maybe something stuck in the blower fan.

And it’s triggered by body flex (I.e. low speed in parking lot, driving on curvy roads, etc).

based on the ****forquality of my car the assembly guy probably left one of his braids in the dashboard.

Good luck finding it. My annoying-as-hell rattle is coming from the rear passenger seat/trunk area and it only does it when I'm doing 60+ on the highway. I was finally able to convince my wife to ride back there and listen for it, but of course that was the ONE time it didn't happen. I'm starting to think this is why the previous owner traded the car in. lol

First, my car is under warranty. So I don't care if they rip apart the dashboard trying to find the rattle.
Second, if you're having a rattle in the rear, and it's gone when she's sitting there, then it could be related to the seat bottom or seatback mechanism (i.e. her weight overcomes a loose fit).

On 2016-18 cars, the (very common) rattle from the rear is caused by the trunk tension brace bars. On the 2019, they put a plastic thing on it, which means the trunk only pops open a little bit, and is more difficult to close.

I had the same rattle/clunk on my rear drivers side back seat...took it to the dealer I bought it from and they told me that a weld had came loose. They fixed it and so far so good. The tech told me it was common in "these cars" :-(

I think that came off wrong, I was genuinely wishing you luck as to finding the source of the noise not facetiously insinuating that it couldn't be done. lol You're lucky though, I wish my car was still under warranty so I could pawn this problem off on the dealer as well. I'll check out those tension bars and see what I can find. Thanks for the tip.

Interesting, that's actually a good description of what it sounds like. I don't suppose you have any idea as to the location of said weld?
