Speakers/subwoofer turn off when volume is too high
I had an aftermarket subwoofer (two 12" kickers) and rockford fosgate 1200 watt amp installed in my 2018 Maxima a few months ago. Since the installation, I've been having this problem where if the volume is turned up >2/3 or if the bass is too hard, the entire system cuts off including the factory panel speakers. I have no audio (on any source or radio) until I cycle the car off and turn it back on; however, the song continues "playing" as I can see it on my iphone's Spotify.
I know the speakers and amp are good, because I just took them out of another car and they were working perfectly fine. I just haven't taken it back to the shop yet, because they want me to leave my car there all day and my job precludes that.
I've checked the amp ground and it's in there pretty solid, plus I don't think that's the issue since the entire audio system/door panel speakers stop producing audio as well.
Could my issue be due to having an underpowered factory headunit? Would a LOC fix my problem?

What I'm wondering is if your stock alternator is up to the amperage requirement the new 1200 watt amp is pulling. Someone here in a past posting suggested an SUV or Titan alternator is higher rated and a swap out that fits the Maxima. I'm thinking you need at least a 130 + amp rated alternator though your stereo installer might have a better idea.
