"HKS Hi power Axle Back Installed , nice boxer V6 rumble definite Horsepower and torque gains also Car seems to rev smoother on manual mode".

What is "boxer V6 rumble"?

How do you know "definite horsepower and torque gains"? That is a bold statement. How was this determined? Was a chassis dynamometer or a butt dynamometer used to measure the gains? In reality, all that was replaced was the mufflers.

Was your car revving rough in manual mode before the installation of the new mufflers?

A need to rationalize spending $$ on what is essentially a childish noise maker, much like the Harley guy and his obnoxious straight pipes...

I began my self-deleted post by making the same statements then got lazy and figured a few a few others on here would jump on this one. :-)

I did not provide a full mod list as I am only speaking on the axle back Noticable differences . No dyno needed I drive everyday I can tell slight differences or major and I’m sure on dyno it would agree. I have a tune date soon oh let me see someone say you can’t tune the Maxima Cust CVt some people on here are jokes

Troy, Troy,

Cooldown and just realize you do get honest opinions that may not match up with what you think. I like the aggressive look but I think the pipes are about 3 inches too long.
What you have to try to avoid is the droning that sometimes comes with an exhaust system change. The CVT can accentuate what I think sounds like mooing. I will be curious what you do to "tune" the Maxima as it runs pretty good out of the box with 5.7 to 6.0 >>> 0 to 60s. If there is any good news, these used Maximas are fairly cheap to buy so there is room for some of these "improvements". I think we can agree, Nissan got the design right, from the beginning. It just looks good sitting!

You have a total of four posts and are passing judgement on others' opinions? When you join a forum and post information, be prepared to read contrary opinions, that is what a forum is constructed to provide.

Do what you like, it does not matter to anyone else, myself included, but your "seat of the pants" dyno results are, as stated elsewhere here, meaningless- noise does not equal performance- and a "V" configured engine is not a boxer...
I have driven Maximas for over 30 years and accumulated a MILLION miles in that time, so I have a sense of what I am talking about... bro...

my bad bro forget I’m slow I definelty thought the sound made it faster 😂😂ok bro I’ll have results for you soon much faster then when it was stock also just got high flow cats so no seat of pants it would be obvious to a child In the car that the power has increased . Better air flow Higher quality parts

You need to learn to play nice with everyone in the sandbox. Everyone is entitled to their opinion just like you.

Typically, it takes about a 20-25hp gain to feel a seat of the pants difference (butt dyno). By adding an axel back exhaust, any HP gains are negligible. Even Stillen doesn't advertise any HP gains on their website because they know a) it's negligible and b) the challenges associated with dyno-ing a car with a CVT and being able to stand behind the numbers. I believe what you are experiencing is called the Placebo effect.

And why do you need/want a tune? You haven't added anything/done anything that would alter your A/F ratio. Have you installed high-flow cats yet, or is that one of your upcoming mods along with your tune?
