'16 Platinum front sensor question

Hi guys
newby here and have a question thats been on my mind for a while now
when theres a car in front of me that turns off and i get a bit too close my forward sensors react very good to avoid a collision however for a forward situation they react too late to be of use in avoiding a collision,
these sensors face more to side and it seems a full frontal is lacking so my question is it possible to add 2 sensors facing the front or would there be a latency issue in doing this?
has anyone ever done this,,,your thoughts?
thanks is advance

These are CAN and ICS signals and have a proprietary data path and are interpreted by the ADUS and then the car is controlled by the bcm, ecm, etc from the data it interprets.. It's a fully digital path and is literally computer controlled. You cannot just throw on an extra sensor that it doesn't support and is not programmed for from the factory.

That being said... It could be an ICC sensor alignment issue. Mechanics should be versed in how to align it properly. The pfcs and ICC uses a shared sensor that points directly in front of you. It is located in the front of the bumper slightly towards the passenger side. But information from a lot of other sensors come into play as well, like the steering angle sensor and vehicle speed sensor, so it can tell how far you have the wheel turned and how fast you are going, etc. If any of the sensors are out of whack, they can all be tested by a proper mechanic.
