Touchscreen has gone blank

I bought a 2017 Maxima SV 2 days ago. Has 75k miles. When I test drove it everything seemed perfect. Drove it home with no issues. I got in it yesterday morning and the touchscreen was black. In sunlight you can see the maps pulled up but it’s so very dim. Anyone had this issue? Know a quick fix? I checked fuses and sensors in the cabin and all seem okay. The dealer unfortunately is not going to help me at all. So I’m trying to avoid having to buy a whole new audio system.

UPDATE*
the radio all the sudden came on today. So that leads me to believe it’s a loose/faulty wire. Going to get it in to a shop as soon as possible.

Two suggestions, first make sure it is not in the "night" mode as the screen is very dim in that mode. Also you could try rebooting the unit, that may bring it back to life.

Try the top right hand side button. It controls the darkening and lightning of the screen. Hence the sun and moon symbols.

the day night mode wont explain him having a no screen issue, somewhere in the settings there will be an option to adjust the brightness, contrast ect, mine is a platinum and these settings are adjusted by touching the screen while in the camera mode...

I own a '17 SL. Had it since new. For the past couple of years, I have had a very intermittent black screen. Just about the time I complain about it to my wife it comes back on. It happens so infrequently (maybe once every 6 mo.) that I don't dwell on it. I had an '07 Altima where the screen would go all jig-jaggy with colored lines every once in a while. I don't know how I discovered that bumping the trunk lid with my fist cleared up the jaggies. I finally fixed that by going into the trunk lid and tightening up the connection where the rear camera attaches to the wire going through the trunk and up to the head unit. The black screen I get happens so quickly that I don't even have time to troubleshoot it before it comes back on. Thing is, my screen is totally black with not a trace of video. Maybe I'll check the camera connection back in the SL's trunk. Who knows?

Thanks for the suggestions! None of the buttons on the head unit work at all. The select **** by the shifter is working but the screen is too dark to navigate. I tried holding the power and select button down for 30 seconds and nothing. I guess I’ll just have to take it to be diagnosed and probably replaced.

I would get it looked at sooner rather than later incase it’s just a connection problem like you said. Hopefully it’ll prevent you from having the same issue im having. Since I just bought it, I don’t know if it started out like yours or what
