Hello Fam,

Recently due to the flooding i had water came inside my car and carpet had smell so i decided to take matter in my own hands and decided to strip down the interior of my 2018 maxima (platinum). I was able to remove all seats, center console etc and removed carpet to wash and dry and today after putting everything back together i have a solid airbag light came on. I drove about 30 miles to see if it will go away but didn't.

Just so you know, i disconnected the battery first, then removed the seats, in-between i had to connect battery once or twice but i put back seats today after 2-3 days and before putting them back my car battery was disconnected also.

I would appreciate if anyone can tell me how to reset this solid airbag light or get rid of it. I searched a lot on the internet but couldn't find anything solid.

It helps if you can get an OBDII reader and get the error code. If it is code B1429, it is the front passenger-side airbag, just re-seat the yellow connector under the passenger seat.

Sounds like a harness connection problem or seatbelt tensioner.

agreed,either that or a connector was released while the car had current on it which stored a code and if this were so,your lucky an airbag didnt blow
