Display/Radio will not come on when cold

Hello alll, new to forum, picked up a 2021 Maxima SR a few months ago. I've noticed when it's well below freezing the radio and screen display do not come on. At times it has come on after a period of time, today it did not come on at all even after driving half and hour. When I stopped the car and restarted it the radio and display then came on. I recently had the whole A/V unit replaced under warranty because a few things were malfunctioning, so this one is new. Appreciate any thoughts, is this normal?

Wouldn't that be a great question to ask the dealership's service department that replaced your A/V unit under warranty?

Yes I intend to, my question here is more whether this is a common occurrence with Maxima's based on the experience of others in the forum.

"Well below freezing", thats the key here. When its super cold some solder joints on the circuit board shrink and could open up and loose connectivity until the car is warmed up. If the radio works after the car is warm then cold wx is likely the cause.

Ok thanks. I thought it might be a safety feature to protect the A/V unit, especially seeing it now on two units. I will mention it next time I am at the dealer.
