Crankshaft Sensor

So just looking to get some general information. My car (2017 Nissan Maxima S) suddenly started having misfires (2) and the check engine light popped on and it went into its safety drive mode earlier today.

Did an engine scan and it came back with error P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit).

Curious if anyone has had this error and could give some insight on it.

From what I can find online its usually just replacing the sensor but there are two of them? One up in the engine itself and one underneath by the exhaust? If anyone could confirm that it would be great.

Like I said looking for some insight on the issue and the repair itself. Thanks!

The dealer told me that they got a bad batch of sensors.

Hahah yeah I ended up just replacing mine, Think it was just the one sensor. Was a bit of a ***** since I got the shorter one but I managed to just barely get it to reach so it was a win. Not the hardest thing to replace but def not the easiest!
