Muffler Replacement

So my muffler got a bit rusted at the part that the two pipes come together in the center (ignore my technical term ignorance I am sorry) and broke off (just the one). I have a replacement ordered and coming in on Monday.

My question is, should I actually go ahead and replace both of the mufflers or is just replacing the one that broke fine and I can worry about the other one when it goes. I just want to make sure it wont effect the car negatively or the performance of it. The muffler I ordered is a straight OEM copy of the original, nothing fancy or anything either.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the reply, and yeah I heard modifying/getting specialized mufflers at all on the maxima is pretty rough overall for whatever reason. I was looking into getting a deeper/more aggressive sounding one a couple years ago but didn't see anything good about it so I just accepted the stock lol.
