Drilled and Slotted Rotors and Noise
Drilled and Slotted Rotors and Noise
For everyone who has drilled and slotted rotors how do they compare with blanks with regards to noise? This is for the Cobra BBK setup and I plan on using Nissan OEM pads. I've read a lot and there are a lot of mixed comments I can't tell if noises are attributed to the pads, the rotors or both.

2. maximamass...why have you gone through 4 sets of rotors? Might I ask if you're using Nissan or OEM replacement (i.e. autozone/pep boys/etc) basic pads?
to Irish's 1. commentAfter having both x-drilled/slotted iRotors and switching to Brembo blanks, I find very little different between the two. I did notice that my iRotors did begin to crack around the drilled holes, so to those that have this type of rotor, make sure you periodically check for cracks (on both sides).

So, now I have some extra front rotors sitting around that are still good.
