How did you remove brake sheilds when you did your BBK?

One I cut off with tin snips... talk about annoying. Not at all easy and my hands hurt pretty badly afterwards. The other I zipped off with an air chisel the next day at the shop, took all of about 2 minutes that time.

I just removed my second set the other day. I removed the first set from my black NA car back years ago as stated. this time, I just took off the rotor, and pried a littled bit with a pry bar and screwdriver to deform the metal a little bit, then banged around with a hammer back towards my body, a little banging here and a little prying there and I had them knocked loose. Couple minutes at most. Then it was just a matter of cutting the thinnest part of the metal with tin snips which is easy, then using pliers or channel locks to bend the metal around to get it off the steering knuckle. Probably took 20 minutes total to complete both sides.
