Just went back to stock...alignment?

I was lowerd on sprints with stock struts and came to hate the ride, I also noticed I wore out the inside of my tires. I couldnt get an alignment being lowered so since I hated the ride anyway I went back to stock springs. AHH the ride is soo much better! But I hate the look. What are you guys doing about alignments when lowered? I am going to go for a more mild drop, probably progress/illumina but want to know about alignment b4 doing this. I am back to stock and stuff is still off that they said cant be messed with? camber/caster? only toe can be adjusted?

I see no reason why just about any shop can't align a lowered vehicle. Now, I do know some people's cars are just too low to fit on the shop's racks, but all shops shouldn't be like that. I plan on installing Illuminas/Eibach's this summer and fully expect most local shops will align my car with no problems. What was the shop(s) reason(s) for not being able to align a lowered car, exactly?

If you plan on keeping the car like that for awhile I would.

I have lifetime at Firestone and have had both D2's and Teins on the rack.

ok well they said they could align it to factory spec...but I figured those numbers wouldnt help me since I was lowered like 2in on sprints. I put the stock springs on the stock struts in my car and had them check it and the camber/caster (dont member which) was off in the rear...but they couldnt adjust it, and the toe in the front was right on the line of where it would be too far off, so I told them not to do anything. Im just wondering what people do that are lowered for alignment so their tires still last 50,000+ miles. I just had to get new tires and dont want to again for atleast that long.

My car is lowered on S-techs and I was able to align it with in spec (right on the edge with camber -1.0) I have not had any unusual tire wear, well the right front wears the fastest since it spins the most

If you want comfortable ride, great handling, and nice drop there are only two good options for the 4th gen: TEIN Basic coilovers or Boss Chen coilovers.

I think that is a very close-minded statement, there is plenty of combos that work for the 4th gens.

Eibach is a great spring and nice drop....

Well I came to that conclusion after realizing that suspension travel is just pathetic with any lowering spring on stock-size struts. I don't have experience with lots of different combos, and Eibachs are certainly one of the best if not the best springs. They are stiff enough to prevent bottoming out with the drop they give, unlike many other springs.

I see your point but using the word ONLY isn't applicable if you don't have experience with the other set-ups.
