Megan coilovers ride question

So I got Megan street series coilovers installed on my 02 maxima a couple of days ago. But the ride on these coilovers and really hard and bouncy, even with the dampers on the softest setting. I know coilovers are generally a little stiffer than stock suspension, but these coils ride very uncomfortably for me. I was wondering if changing the springs to something with a lower rate will help the ride quality. I was thinking of getting eibachs 250lb/in in front and rear. These should work fine on my coils right? Will they mess up or affect the longevity of my suspension? Thanks.

i must be really young because with my coilovers dumped on full stiff with stiff *** D2 springs aren't uncomfortable to me...but I'm thinking the preload on the spring is definitely wrong if it's THAT uncomfortable with soft dampening. what are the Megan Racing spring rates?

There is zero preload. When I jack up the car I can turn the spring in place. They're only two days old. Maybe they just need to settle/ break in. I drove 50 miles today and it seemed better. Maybe its just a matter of getting used to them. They just seem really bouncy. There is one very slight dip in my neighborhood street which I can barely feel in my Altima or Genesis, but these coils exaggerate it so much.

Spring rates: 8kg/mm F, 6kg/mm R

See if you can tighten up the preload so the spring doesn't move at all.

I'll try that on Tuesday, hopefully I get some free time to experiment.

Softening the dampers means less resistance, which means more bouncing.
It can be soft and still bounce, or it can be stiff and not bounce at all. Totally different issues.

Lowering the spring rate may help mask the problem, but I don't think it will fix it. I have 9k/8k springs on my BCs and they ride nearly as well as stock. It's all about having a quality damper (assuming preload and all that jazz is done properly) that's matched to the spring rate. Try bumping up the stiffness a little bit to see if a stiffer setting will match the spring rate better.

You need to run them on stiff..my k sports made my car ride like *** on the softest setting. I don't think The stiff spring rates are soft enough for the strut when on full soft, Hence the bad ride. Give it a shot
