some tracks close for the colder months but since you are in CA They could be open. I guess it depends what part of CA Hayward is in.

I just bought a drivable 90 Stanza for $100. But I need to replace 3 bent wheels. I need cheap stockers.

You have two nice tracks to chose from. Sacramento and Infineon. I think those are within a reasonable distance from Hayward.

Privet,

Are 2K2 and 6th gen. engines are the same? Would this swap work with 2004 engine? How abour 3.5VQ with 6speed?

Did you replace the cluster because new harness didn't work with old cluster? 2004 cluster looks very different then 2k2 cluster, Are they totally different?
Thanks.

yes the vq35 in our 5.5 maxima is the exact same thing as in the new maximas. this swap would work with a 6th gen engine and tranny but the connectors on the engine might be diffferent if you are going to use a 5.5 gen engine harness.

the cluster. it was replaced because that was the easiest way of doing things instead of looking at wiring diagrams and seeing if i could match up the old 96 cluster to the 2k2. i just swapped it over. less headaches from looking at all the wires.lol. but i dont know about the 6th gen cluster. so i cant say if it is the same as the 5.5 cluster in the back with all the wires and connectors.

How about this:

- VQ35DE from a 2002 Altima.
- Wiring harness from a 2002 Maxima.
- MAF from a 2004 Maxima/Altima ('cause the 2002-2003 MAF is a piece of ****)
- Limited slip 5-speed transmission from a 1995 Maxima.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work... but you never know. I bought a 2002 Altima engine and I can buy the wiring/ECU from a 2002 maxima.

I know it's supposed to be the same engine, but if anyone can see ANY reason why it would NOT work, please let me know, it's a question of time and money right now.

what ecu are you planning on using? also the only thing different i can think of i the connectors on the harness and they might have different outputs/inputs also. the pins might be in a different stop in the connector. you need a wiring diagram to be sure from the altima and maxima.

Maxima 2002 ECU and wiring harness, but on a 2002 Altima engine.
