Except for the glaring hood clearance problems, what other conflicts with the mating surface of the Path IM to the 4th gen cylinder heads, using the Pathy Lower manifold.
Has anyone actually tested it to see if it will fit?

No that's a true dual runner set-up, even on the Maxima advertisment bookelts, they show a dual stage all shiny'd up in chrome, and with many details, and we all know it's really not in the Max, false ads anyone ...
I've seen that drawing all over the place sucks we didn't get it... jsut wish the max had the dual runner, also the sentra SE-R has the same basic design of the true duals in that drawing too. That concept and drawing is on a few of the technical VQ35 papers.

i have a rainy day fund that could come in good use here.
Are you speculating that this manifold will flow better than the de-k?
btw, why is there a upper, center, and lower for the pathfinder IM on carpart.com

wow, it looks de-k inspired in terms of material and color

so i'm assuming you'd need the vq35 version lower, center (MT version), and upper to run?

Why ole why did you muddy the water with the VQ40.
VQ35 Pathy uses same low angle intake port style heads as VQ30s and the VQ30 LIM was confirmed by Stephen to bolt on to the Pathy VQ35, so you'd just use the Pathy VQ35 LIM/intake manifold.
The injectors/lower gasket are identical. You could possibly need to massage the VQ30DEK fuel rail for clearance on the Pathy LIM.

the coils sit close to the valvecover, the IM should clear over it and you should be able to run the plugs underneath.
doesn't the 2k2's require complete removal of the IM to access the rear coils?

Would the rear Pathy or VQ35 ignition coils work if to tall?

it will probably all come down to hood clearance.

If you all need any specific photos of anything on the Pathfinder VQ35, just send me a PM. I have a 2001 Infiniti QX4 (same engine).
Since I have a 3rd gen, all of this swap talk is of little use to me, but very interesting.

You could always swap the high-port heads and intake manifold from a 350Z into your QX4.
