00VI question.

I will be installing the 00VI (again) on my 4th gen. Just wondering if the 5th gen (00-01) stock intake will fit on my car.

yo Jason. looks like you might beat me afterall as i am having JB weld issues right now. I would think it should work. I think if anything you can get rubber tubing and clamps to extend the existing 4th gen tubing. should be alot cheaper. At least that is what I am planning to do if my CAI doesnt reach. The rubber tube is what connects my midpipe to my throttle body anyways so im guessing making it a little longer shouldnt hurt.

Yea right, I'm not going to actually start on it until next week, about the stock intake, I might just use the stock 4th gen and use some rubber tubing, but im going to try to look for a 5th gen intake first, I think Max said that the 5th gen stock intake would fit, but not too sure.

As with the CAI tubing, I used the upper piece of my old Injen-style intake and it worked fine, the tube and filter ends up between the engine and the battery, almost perfect fit, but I had to use the stock Injen filter which is quite small. But I'd rather have the quietness of stock.

Can either of you guys give me a hint as to where I could get a 00VI. You are both in cali and I'm sure there a a lot better sources there than in MN.

I have tried car-part.com, but only a NY yard comes up, and they want 300 bucks for it.

I got mine off of a user named Curt on the .org, he seems to have sources, he has already sold 2-3 00VIs, maybe he can help you out.

I just purchased the custom 4th gen lower from Stephen Max so it will work with the 00VI upper. Probably will install it next weekend.
