Didn't you say 24 is stock, thus thats 7 degree advance. Just busting your b*lls. Good job man. I wonder how much timing advance we can run to gain most power without knock?

You can get a obd2 scanner/logger with pda if all you plan on just monitoring the ecu. You can get a Pocketlogger, obdscan, ect. for about $150-200. Im going with a Pocketlogger ($125) and ZT softwear ($40), PDA (price varies on model), and Zeitronix Zt-2 WBO2 ($280). A total of $445 + your choice of PDA. I already have the SAFC 2 and AFPR, so I'll have everything but an extended rev limit.

I dont see any Dells on pocketloggers list, but these are the requirements:
http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=faq_pda_comp

No dell on Harrison (obdscan) either.

Pocket codes has dell: http://microsoft.handango.com/Platfo...oductId=199881

Some more Dell OBD info: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=122971

Thats the best route to go. I have both and the consult clone is better than the OBDII readers imho. Although the obdscan I have does work with my Palm which is easier than hauling a laptop around, but I always have the laptopfor the Emanage Ultimate anyway and the obdscan works with both.

I dont want a laptop so anything PDA is fine. But the pocketlogger software for the Zeitronix is the piece I really need. I may as well get the rest of the Pocketlogger software to read the timming and such. Im not going for the best stuff, obviously.

Unless I can use both the ZT software and the clone on the same PDA with no other parts and its truely better I'll stick with the pocketlogger. It owuld be nice to connect it to my SER though.

Well after dyoning and also haveing a few weeks of fun with the timing advance, it had to come to an end. Right now my car is having problems. yesterday i start it and and shut off as usual (no iacv, cold start), but this time it didnt wanna stay on not even with lil gas. so i managed to keep it on, the car after it warms up sits in idle very low mid 500s when in gear. and it shakes like crazy. i changed fuel pump to the stock one, and same thing, i check my wideband readings, and when it does this, the a/f leans out almost off charts like if there is no fuel. this morning i checkd and cleaned, cam, and both crank pos sensor. still does it. now, it is two very possible issues. a bad vacumm leak at the EGR guide tube, or injectors.

My question is, at 65ish Fuel pressure at WOT on the stock 4th gen injectors. is there a chance that they might have been maxed out and I probably hurt them? also i sprayed starter fluid towards the egr guide tube or below the tb and idle changed a lil bit everytime i sprayed it. so it might be leak also. any input will be appreciated. thanx

Leaking o-rings or injector isolators. Most likely the latter since he said he was running lean. The pressure was fine.

I have a question ya'll. I know the ideal way to do this would be just logging the timing. but i dont have any tools for that. soooo, I would like to know how can we predict or guesstimate how much my timing is advanced? here is the setup, I have 370 (z32) Injectors, and I have at most -15 corrections almost across entire rpm range, with stock fuel pressure.

Get a Eu be done with it. Sell the safc add some money too it and bam their you go. Man it really helps out in all kind of ways. My EU has saved me about $600 now. I dont have to get z32maf because I can just clamp stock voltage. And now Im going to add injectors and not have to buy upgraded= more money saved. You would be able to see all your timming, and knock levels in your data logs and you could fine tune that beast you got their!

Ok guys if I was planning on going with the apexi neo, would a good set up be the innovative motorsports wideband o2 with gauge and then get the cable and software from that blitz website?

From all the reading ive done that setup would do everything right? ( datalog, view timing, adjust timing/air to fuel, etc. )

Ok just one more quick question, I am planning on purchasing Auterra for my 03 max. I checked on their website and it doesnt say any nissans have can yet. It is like $80 cheaper for model without can so I just wanted to verify we do not have can on the 03 maximas. Thanks
