Some of my friends got together and got me a VI as a New Years present!! Right after the finals are over, I will be putting it in.

after observing all the parts of the vi, i came across one of the injectors. the brown plastic spacer/washer whatever it is thats on the tip of the injector was cracked in half. here is a picture i "borrowed" from ebay to show what I'm talking about.



there's an auction for an injector on ebay, but i wanted to check if something could be done with this one?

Also, just in case, can I use my 4th gen fuel rail with 5th gen lower IM?

 

You can't you the 4th gen fuel rail with the 5th lower.

 

but you can use a 4th gen fuel rail with 4th lower...like me

 

well 5th gen injectors flow more. Those 20cc's might not be a huge difference, but they add up.

got all the parts finally!!!
5th gen lower, upper, fuel rail and tb...all the gaskets, bolts, and rpm switch
i know im missing the adaptor plate for the iacv, but im gonna try to go around it.

me and my buddy, vipervadim, will probably start on Monday morning...hope everything works out so we are done in one day since he's done his already.

p.s. waiting till monday because there are a few things that still need to be cleaned and then polished!
