Because of higher fuel pressure, not the injectors themselves.

So what? You won't need them until you're putting down well over 300fwhp.

You're saying the fuel pressure is higher on the Z/G than on 5.5 gen maximas, or higher than on 4th gen maximas? I was under the impression that 4th gen was 3.0 bar, and on all VQ35-equiped vehicles it was 3.5 bar.

ok and why not just swap them still. they are cheap anyways and are a direct bolt on
then explain why the 350z and g35 have them stock? and yes the injectors are different and flow mroe because they are a different color

Damn guys this has been beaten to death over and over....

AGAIN.

2000-2001 VQ30DEK Maxima and 350Z/G35 2003-04.5 injectors are 290cc@3bar and as SR20DEN posted flow more at 3.5bar.

2002-2003 VQ35 Maxima use 270cc@3bar injectors.

Yes, at stock fuel pressure for VQ35s, ie 3.5bar they flow more. Use the standard rated pressure of 3bar to avoid all this confusion.

So technically I already have "350Z/G35" injectors

Yes, if you are running 2000-2001 DEK injectors.

They are different color though, but same part number.

They flow more then 2002-2003 Maxima, but flow the same 290cc@3bar as the 2000-2001 Maxima.

not according to this link.

http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...7&postcount=35

VQ35DE: 315cc @ 3.5 BAR (FBJC101, FWD versions)
VQ35DE: 335cc @ 3.5 BAR (FBJC100, 350z etc.)

so it does matter especially in open loop

Did you not read what he said?

2000-2001 maxima injectors are the same as 350z/G35 injectors: 335cc @ 3.5 bar = 290cc @ 3.0 bar

2002-2003 maxima injectors are NOT the same: 315cc @ 3.5 bar = 270cc @ 3.0 bar

Why would anyone want to use the 350z injectors in a 3.5 unless they had 300+ WHP? It would cause your motor to run quite a bit richer in open loop when it already runs fairly rich in open loop.

Hook up your Emanage to it, do a injector correction factor (to lean out your AF) and notice that you now have a lil bit more ignition timing By cheatting the ECU with a Emanage you can get quite a bit of timing... but I'm sure ya all knew that and its last years news.

This is why I belive chris'max blew his engine on the dyno also.

Okay... What does that have to do with anything? Which "stock" injectors? What's the point of that post?
