3.5 motor swap using 3.0 cams

Well we are in the process of doing a 3.5 swap for a customer who is not willing to wait for some time to get the cam spacers for the 3.5 cams in the 4th gen. My question is if we decide to use the 3.0 cams, What would be the negative effect of using the 3.0 cams versus using the 3.5 cams?

sorry for not being too clear. but I figured less power. But moreso, about how much? between which RPM. We can of course figure most of this out on our own and dyno after the install however I was just trying to figure out. if Someone had done it before.

I would say about 10-15 HP overall. Tilley might have a dyno, search in the dyno forums.

I cant tell you where. But I would say the midrange.

Exactly how long will it take for those spacers to get there and installed?
IMO you need to tell him to wait it would be pointless to make it this far and use 3.0 cams. It's going to drop the power across the board significantly.

I know that much. He mentioned a substitute that would go in place of the cam spacers that are sold by tilley and stephen max.

I hear you. I guess someone needs to PM him to find out what it is. What I posted seems like a good suggestion for a very speedy process. I know Stephen Max can do a quck turnaround seeing the urgency.

Yeah. It should be hear tomorrow. As I said, Rob is just a busy guy. It seems like he has his spurts when he has time to pick up the phone. As it was said before, he fixes cars, paints cars, and runs a shop all by himself. The past 5 days I have actually spoke to him about three times. When I receive them I will try and post pics. I would just order them as soon as possible for whoever is looking for these. Tavarish ordered two sets from him and he should probably get his by the end of next week.
