VQ30 on VQ35.. timing cover questions..
I searched around, but couldn't find a definative answer... Do I need to plug the 4 exposed, o-ringed holes in the VQ35 heads, when using the VQ30 timing covers? Two of the holes can be seen here..
I assume that they're just dead holes now, since the VQ30 timing cover doesn't feed any oil to the lower holes.. But, I wanted to make sure before I put it together. Thanks..

If that's the case... then, what feeds the tensioner it's oil supply? It has a o-ringed passage, feeding from the VTC solenoid above.. But, if that solenoid no longer has oil pressure.. then, I'm wondering how that works out..
