3.5 swap! Has anyone retained the EGR from the 4th gen? How?

3.5 swap! Has anyone retained the EGR from the 4th gen? How?

Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

You can't do it with your motor and manifold because you don't have the external EGR port. 04+ maximas are the only ones that have it. There is no point in trying to make a custom pipe welded to the manifold anyways. You'd also have to make a custom adapter for the 4th gen EGR to sit properly on the 3.5 heads as well so that the copper pipe will match up with both the EGR and the manifold. There is no real point in retaining the EGR, it's more hassle than anything with the 3.5 swap. Cap or have the header welded shut and call it a day.

Hey Dan...thanks...that's kinda' what I thought. Have you hit 13's yet or is it still too d$&n hot ?

Way too damn hot...E-manage Ultimate is on the way though. That'll for sure get me into easy 13's with good track and weather.

easy to do cut your EGR tube in half cut a 04 IM tube in half throw away the 04 piece that goes to egr throw away your egr to IM side then attach with high temp hose all done.

just hook all your egr tubes back up to simialr spots and plug connections back in if your keeping your stock ecu then its simple

block off egr, plug in all sensors. easy as pie.

You won't have one if you retain the old EGR equipment.

If you lose the egr, will you fail emissions? I dont even know If i still have mine.
