Can I drill & tap the 2k2 IM?

Currently I have my IACV hose running to the nipple next to the TB, all my vac lines running off the nipple for the vac canister and my brake booster running off the big nipple in the back.

I'm thinking that the nipple that the IACV is too small for it and thus why my car wants to die on a cold-start because it can't get enough air in quickly. So what I was thinking was I would take off the IM and drill a hole in it for a new larger nipple. I've never done this and I think a larger nipple would help get more air in there. What do you think?

That's exactly what I did. I drilled/tapped a hole for a 1/4 NPT barbed fitting. It worked really well. If you've any more questions about this, you may want to contact StephenMax...he's the guy who gave me the suggestion.
