problems with motor

So, I tried the 3.5 swap this past week but ran out of time because of school and work(so I put the 3.0 back in). I put it in using 3.0 timing, 3.5 oil pan, 3.0 (POS), and returnless fuel. I got it to start but it would just sputter and then die out. When I rev it, it would back fire some make knocking sound. Codes I recieved were Faulty IACV, and (POS) because . I'm going to rip it back down this weekend to look at the timing but could there be anything else I over looked?

You have to mod the lower oil pan to use the 30 crank sensor, I would use the 30 oil pan.

Do you have the 3.5 POS? It works great, I would use that rather than ripping the motor apart.

you gotta swap the wires on the 3.5 sensor like so:

3.0 harness black ------------white--------green or red
3.5 harness green or red------white------------black

if you havent tried this already
