Guys running NO Cruize ?

Now with my pathy tb, I have no way to run the cruize control witch isnt a big deal at all.

My question is, Can I take off that big bulb thing thats attached to the fire-wall that houses the Cruize Control Cable ?? The cable has no breaks in it to take it off and I would hate to cut it. What do you guys do to elimate the cable and that bulb thing ??

On the other side of the bulb should just be a vacuum line.. You can take the bulb and cruise cable out.

yeah using a pathfinder tb is what enables use to continue to use our cruise control with the 3.5 swap. using the 3.5's tb and modifying it to work with drive by cable is what cuts out the cruise control

I had to take it off because it doesnt clear the 00 VIAS on the manifold. With the Cruize Ear on, you cant mount the Throttle body, with it off, its a perfect fit.

just un bolt the actuator ball, follow the vac line to the controller on the strut tower near the master cylendar and remove what you dont want.

here's an easy fix for that. physically bend it out of the way. the cruise still works, and all is well.

I eliminated my cruise a while ago. I dont use it, and it's weight reduction.

I never use it anyway.

With the 00VI/Pathfinder TB setup there is NO way to use Cruize. Its tucked way too far under the VIAS to even fit. With the Cruize ear on there, it doesnt even fit onto the adaptor plates. Just No-Go.

So If I take the bulb fixture off of the firewall, where is the break in the Line ?? I cant see it anywhere in the firewall. Anyone ever take it completely out of the engine bay ??

yup. you just yank it out, the line comes out of the bulb. then theres the solenoid, which has 1 10mm bolt on top, and 2 on bottom in the wheel well, and bam, no cruise control, and you saved a few lbs and space in your engine bay.

i've seen 2 setups with the PF tb and 00vi where cruise was fully functional though.

I have NO Idea how. I guess stephen max's plates dont allow you to use it beaucse when I bought the plates and TB from him, he told me that Cruize ear will not fit cause of the VIAS.

My Pathy TB comes Straight out, unlike other setups ive seen that have it come out on an angle. Maybe thats why ?

you have to bend it out of the way (the ear). This is how it is on HarrisH's setup, and it works fine.

I didn't want to give up the cruise.

I just put a PF TB on mine the other day, using a clocked adapter set I had made up and I also modified the springs and butterfly rod to shorten everything up to more easily clear the VIAS.

5lbs is 5lbs.... if you keep removing the weight it will add up to something significant.
