I disagree, I believe it will retain the low end power. Using a square intake port provides for a more even transition between the port and valve for (High Rev Efficiency). But luckily the HR engine counters the low end Tq loss with VTC's at both ends of the cam's I/E along with many other additions added to the new design. Now if you ask me I haven't seen any actual numbers that would tell me if it's swap worthy, such as upper or lower IM etc. just to early to tell. But I can only imagine the available potential this HR motor will provide.

The HR equipped cars probably come with shorter gearing to utilize the higher powerband and make up for any low end torque loss the VQ35HR might have.
It also looks like the ports on the head to LIM are the same oval shape as the other VQ35s which makes this swap possible if you use the upper and lower IMs. It is only square inside the upper IM and transitions from square to oval through the Lower IM.
