So I checked my VIN and the 12 letter on the second level is U. Which means I'm fed spec right? I was confused because I read that U was fed spec but my vapor box is in the back left which is said to be on Cali spec....weird.

Good to know. I can use that #2 for my PCV hose. Also, does the stock egr diaphragm (hat looking thing) fit the 00 egr guide tube?

The EGR guide tube bolts to the EGR valve, not the diaphragm. The valve uses the same hole/bolts, etc. and bolts right up. I've been told you need to bend the tube a little though

The 00 EGR guide tube should line right up to the hole in the upper intake. The key is leaving the lower part of the guide tube loose, tighten the plate to the upper, then tighten the lower part of the guide tube to the EGR plumbing. There should be no bending involved as far as I saw.

Mine never had anything to do with my guide tube I'm not so sure what you're even referring to now. Could you take a pic?

Just going by what StreetzLegend told me I didn't use a guide tube (although I have one). I blocked my EGR off

I had heard of people bolting down the lower bolts, then trying to make the top plate line up with the upper by bending it. I guess that is where common sense and some automotive experience comes in.
