6speed has the hole for a speed sensor, so im pretty sure you just use a normal 5speed one.

Well I bolted up the shifter today. It wasnt all that bad I guess the only thing that was rough was getting these stiff cable routed the way you want them. And the shfter worked nicely with my 4th gen redline max shift boot. It was a nice tight fit around the reverse pull up ring!

does the setup shift in and out of gear or did u only mount up the shifter and cables and havent mounted the tranny up?

also do u have any pics of how u routed it?

We plan on using the 6-speed for a swap this summer and Id really appreciate it if you could post pics of what the shifter linkage and all between the tranny and the shifter looks like. Ive never seen the 6-speed shift linkage and brackets first hand.

Thanks for that. Do you think its possible to adapt a rod driven linkage (like on a 4th gen) to the 6-speed trans?

i highly doubt it. shifter assembly for the 6spd is on top of the trans whereas the shifter assembly is on the bottom in a 5spd.

No. And why would you want to do such a thing?

Thought about using the stock civic linkage for the trans. But oh well. We shall use the 6-speed shifter assembly and cables. How much do you expect someone to pay for the 2 cables and shifter assembly? Does anyone have first hand pricing on the 2 cables+shifter stuff?

Pricing is all over the place. You really have to call around. I have seen a low of $45 and a high of $250.

i havent seen this talked about, but how are you guys going about the tranny mount? from what i understand people say not to try and bolt it to the car so are you guys going the weld route or is there no problem trying to get it to bolt up at the 4th gen location.

quick question, i know on the 3.0 flywheel theres a spacer sort of thing that mounts between the flywheel and the bolts. does the 3.5 flywheel have this same part?

That is a stiffening plate. The centre section of the stock A32 flywheel is pretty thin. The plate allows the clamping force of the bolts to be distributed more uniformly.

The stock 3.5 flywheel is dual-mass. You cannot use a re-inforcing plate as the friction and bolting surfaces must be able to rotate slightly relative to one another..

If the flywheel is intended for the application, no additional parts will be required.
