E-Gas what exactly is it?
I'm looking at my options for a vq35 swap in my fourth gen. I have been doing a LOT of reading and have come across the term E-Gas a few times but I'm not too sure what it is. I did a quick SEARCH both org specific then on the entire web and can't come up with a good answer. Can someone please explain?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Throttle by wire. Engine throttle is not operated by a cable, like most older conventional cars are. in this system it is controlled by 4 sensors. Get your hands on an FSM and read all about it.
Or,

Throttle-by-wire. There is no mechanical link between the accelerator pedal and the throttle plate. BTW, this question could've been answered in the 5th generation forum and has been covered MANY times.
Edit: Beat me to it...

I googled 'e-gas vq35' and the first hit I got was the org, second was a Porsche forum talking all about DBW and DBC TBs, along with a guy with a 350z.
