Maybe he doesn't have as much time as other people do.

That's a commonly misconceived view around here.

People get dyno time and do not take full advantage of the time they have. There is an entire thread on this in the dyno forum. I'd suggest reading it thoroughly before going to dyno.

To answer your question, if he rented the dyno for some 'tuning' time, then an hour is a very common timeframe, and as SR stated, if he cannot get those items done, he is not doing it right. All my sessions were an hour, and so were probably many other people on here. That is more than enough time to get a decent AFR. This eliminates the concept that 'he may not have as much time as me'.

You have to get a dyno after a couple hundred miles of driving.

O2 readings aren't used at WOT, but what does the car do then for AFR at WOT? Just dump in a fixed amount of fuel?

I have a feeling the computer will relearn and richen up the mix again via O2 readings.

Why? ECU compensation time?

MAF & CPS/TPS. This thread sorta proves this to a certain degree.

I’ve done that, you’ll just see a dramatic decrease in airflow depending on how large you go.

So if getting EU isn't an option, what are the results of using a VAFC with a JWT ECU? I seem to remember reading a long time ago that the two didn't play nice together. Or is it possible that JWT could reflash the ECU to compensate for the BB MAF?

Why isn't an EU an option? Pretty sure it has a MAF scaling option, and if not, there are plenty of members with BBMAF + EU with success.

JWT would charge you your first born and your brand new puppy, and I don't even think they've done it before for our cars.

VAFC works fine with JWT. It's just it(VAFCII) needs to be manually set-up(tune by trial & error using WB) vs, PnP with the SAFCII (MAF scaling option).

Oh, I wasn't saying EU won't work with the BB MAF, just that I don't want to go through with an EU install and tuning

So you're saying the SAFC is the better option for tuning with a BB MAF and will work in conjunction with the JWT ECU? Interesting....

VAFC has maf scale too ,i'm using it on my car....i have a VQ30 with a Q45 maf and i have it 1 IN and 4 OUT ijust needed to add a little more fuel(+4%) on most RPMs and a little more up top.... response is incredible with the BBMAF

P.S.i dont have JWT ECU,i have a 4th gen ECU with DE-K injectors, Z33 IM (all 3 pieces),BLOX 1/2 spacer and PFTB
