hey, i was readin your post and while a good sum of info is in there, very amusing for a thread its got like comic relief amongst info. BUT the real reason im posting is im havin a problem with my 02 se 6speed that you guys may know about. i just bought it and love it, but i made a IMO pretty detailed thread about it if i could request a gander? .Its even got a video! not as good as yours tho. i think my timing chain could have skipped a tooth on bank 1 closest to the timing chain tensioner, i think it lost enough oil to effect the timing chain tensioner. (but im not sure?) i just found out about my P0650 MIL circuit fault. after i found out my car which appeared to be leaking no oil, had lost the majority of ~4.25 qts of oil within 1000 miles of an oil change.
anyways, THANK YOU if you do take a gander, im just tryin not to get with a 7hr labor bill for some guy to inspect the chain/sprockets, IF, im not sure thats the problem.

anyways sorry about the length heres the link http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=545491

DL the FSM and read EC442 - EC445.

DL here:
www.VQ35DE.com/ESM

From there, locate your car/ (yr/model), and DL (download) it.
