Logworks Vs. Auterra??

Ok guys, I am buying an innovative motorsports wideband o2 sensor kit. ( soon to be accompanied by a neo ) I can get the wideband kit without the lc1 and logworks datalogging program for $199.99. Or, for an extra $149.99 I can get the kit with the lc1 and logworks datalogging programs. Total to $349.99.

On the other hand I can get the wideband kit with the auterra dyno scan program which has estimated hp and timeslips as well as diagnostic features and all datalogging capabilites. The total for this kit would be $379.99.

My questions to anyone with any experience with these or any other widebands/datalogging programs are

1. Do either or both of these check timing?
2. Opinions or both programs which setup would be worth it?
3. Any other programs or sensors you believe are superior?

From what I have seen and read it seems the second option is best but thats what im here asking

Websites:

http://www.auterra.com

Thanks alot.

Although I do not have experience with the Auterra stuff, and somewhat with the Logworks, I can tell you that paying an extra $30 for a program that will tell you everything the Logworks will tell you, plus "timeslips and dyno numbers" is not worth it. Too many variables get calculated into that that can throw off the calculation. If you want those #s, just hit the track or dyno. Getting numbers from that, is no different than getting numbers from a GMeter, useless for comparing to other people here.

Thats about all I can share. Hopefully someone here can answer your specific questions.

I know what you mean about the dyno but I just thought of that as a cool extra. The main extra I think is good is the MIL Checker that can do most things modern scantools can.

Please someone shine some light

Cipher + PLXR300. That's what I opted for.

What made you choose the cipher over the autoenginuity?

Im very interested in the autoenginuity but it seems soo similar to auterra but for more money....dont know if its worth it.

Must have been tax return time. They both do the same thing aside from the the Cipher having a bit faster sample rate. So either one would be a winner. (AE/Cipher/Auterra)
