None of these cars have a fuel pressure sending unit

The other wires in the rear injector subharness go to the CKPS REF and (IIRC) the OPS.

And yes/no on the red wire. It is a common wire for the injectors, but it's power, not ground.

my bad, I meant the oil pressure switch. As for the wires, wiring is still correct though, I just got my polarities mixed up, right?

What do you mean? As far as the above mentioned colors being the ground wires for the injectors, and the big red one being B+?

Why are you using the 00-01 wiring harness?

Hey guys, sorry about the condition of this thread. The Chariot sat for 2 years, and ended up sending it to a shop to finish the work. Family things just got more important than the car, but its all good now.

The new clutch is strong.
The new engine DE-K (31,000 Miles) runs very strong, beautiful sounding engine and exhaust. Pulls very hard uptop (switch over) past redline vs the old 170,000+ aged DE.

I forget about the differences in the two engines, but the DE-K sure feels better uptop than the DE ever did with 00VI.

Well, its good to be back, now for some easy miles on that clutch. And really need to sort out the cold start. Once she warms up everything is ok, but on cold start engine just dies over and over, same old thing with the old setup. Will need to do a search and find out how to fix that.

Thanks Everyone.

she stays parked up in a garage out back. I pull her out to keep putting miles on the clutch done over 500 miles now on the back roads..

edit: you just cant get on these cars with street tires and not lose traction. on the second run i push her and she needs the stickies.

Video with DE-K swapped and running

If you compare them you'll see there's an extra water outlet coming off the valley at the back of the block on the DEK. You'll want to use the DEK coolant log, so the easiest thing to do is trash the 4th gen vacuum galleries and just run new hoses or metal hardlines of your own (some brake line tubing works great). In spite of all the complicated looks of the 4th gen galleries, there are only really 3 main devices those things connect, plus the FPR. They are the EVAP solenoid, the MAP/BARO solenoid, and the EGR solenoid. I just put them all together on a simple bracket coming off the new DEK log. These solenoids have 3 lines to each one, but since you're not using EGR, you can eliminate any hoses to that one, and just leave it connected somewhere (same with the EGR temp sensor) if you don't want CEL's, or if you don't care about that then just remove it. And also make sure you don't trash the little round check valve on the EVAP vacuum line. I can take some pics or provide a routing diagram for you later on for how to run all the vacuum/air stuff.
Dandy, how about some pictures showing what you did for the vacuum lines.

I see no one has commented on this thread in a while but hopefully I can get a reply :-)

I am helping a buddy of mine who is considering doing this swap and we were debating whether it is better to use the 4th or 5th gen computer and harness when doing the swap. Could I hear for you all what you think...

Domeone needs to make a newer thread anx take ALOT of pics..this thread is very informative but so many people getnoff topic and talk about unrelated stuff it gets confusing... easiest way is to do the swap take pics and do a complete writeup on everything that needs to be switched or wired etc and talk to a mod to lock it and sticky it

can anyone recommend a reliable place online to buy this clutch ? these days im a bit out of the loop on where to buy our mods ??
Input shaft bearing and front cover are super simple sir, remove the front cover bolts and front cover, remove the snap ring holding the IS at the base, then smack that sucker right on the point with a hefty hammer and it will release from the trans, then remove the snap ring holding the bearing in, remove bearing, clean surfaces with emery cloth and reinstall in reverse order, dont forget the snap ring for the bearing

I'm about to do a de-k from and infiniti i30. Will there be any difference with the swap? Most should be a direct fit I'm assuming. I just need a list of things my mechanic and I need to go over as fat as trouble shooting.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
