So, i got my car back from the shop today, got the JWT s1's installed at 1st the car felt quicker then before, since i was ripping 1st ans 2nd up like nothing ! but when i got on the highway i didnt notice a big difrence, i mean i noticed it was ALOT louder (intake was SCREAMING) and it pulled ehhh maybe a lil harder but i got a dead spot from like 80-110 i believe... where the car just pulls slow.. then it picks back up again...

The car is NOT tunned at all !!.. maybe a Really good tune is needed ? i thought just slapping these suckers on would be very noticable but it wasnt. Im actally kinda dissapointed....

What do you guys think ?

but very nice none the less, so what are you gonna do with your old stock cams? I may buy them from you for my VQ30

 

A good tune may even it out. So Im guessing your in 4th around 80-100 But what rpm? It should feel dead in all gears at this same rpms!

 

Ok update, i had my buddy give it a quick street utne nothing serious but a qucik 15 min thing cuz i was late for class, and well he was doign it for free, he told e the car AF was out of wack.. he did some corrections and she pulls like a bat outta hell.. !!

So... in the end the $$$ for cams was WELL worth it !

Sounds good. What are you adjusting AF with now? Do you have a gutted IM and extended rev limit?

 

Yes, i have my list of mods posted up here somewhere. I basically have everything you can do to a 5.5gen plus some lol. My IM is gutted and Port and Polised with spacers. My rev limit is still stock UNTIL the E-manage goes in which will take care of that.

Still looking for a Good price on a E-manage.. if you guys see anything pass it on THANKS.

cams are fun. i cant wait till i get the finishing work done on my motor to fell them with a breathing IM. glad you like yours too! Oo i have the stage 1 3.0L cams in the 3.5 only 256/256 instead of i think 265/265 for yours right?

 

Do you still have Tilley's red '97? I thought that one already had the JWT cams in there. At least, it did when I rode in it.

 

well its not red anymore. Yea its that same set but its running on a bad tune that tilley had done so emma would get really good gas mileage and i have no topend. Last dyno on that tune was 199whp and 215tq (as opposed to his tune of 240whp and 227tq). But im in the process of SSIM, spacers, and getting the retune. Should be done in about 2 or 3 weeks with a dyno.
