I love how you 00VI guys never need "moderating".

Congrats on getting it running lock.

Guilty as charged

Lock, just wait till you hook up the solenoid. You hit 4800-5000rpm and it just sails to 6500. I shift right at or just above 6500 now. Congrats on getting it running.

Also, I would suggest disconnecting your battery if you didnt during the swap(but I assume you did).

What a awsome 100th post!!!!!!!!

That is a quarter i stuck to the egr that didnt work so well. i didnt let it sit long enough to cure so it blew it off. lol. going to let it sit till sunday to let it cure more.

I didnt have my battery hooked up till i was ready to fire it up. When taking on any project i usally forget to do it. but then again im usuaslly not splicing injector wires and hacking up harnesses

im just glad it was a human error vs a mechanical error. I was trying everything. had my wife turn the car over to see if there was spark on each coil. I got bit a couple of times. i had spark on all of them so i started looking at the fuel and sure enough. Good ole trouble shooting!

Thanks shady. im glad at least one person is going to get something off this thread! i have to admit i defently winged it on this thread.

These pics are from my cell and they llook like ****. I will be doing some finishing touches on my car hook up vias and reroute hoses and wires on sunday so i will post some good pics and maybe a vid

I have to thank all of yall who contribited to my thread. your guys input and information helped me out alot and i really appricate it all. And its people like you guys who keep this forum alive!!! So thank you again!!!

Now on to emanage ultimate install

thanks man. So did you get your rpm switch to work yet?? I dont have one hooked up to my VI yet cause im waiting on harnesses for my EU hopefully not this weekend but next weekend i can mess with it. Glad to hear you got most of the bugs out of your setup. i wouldnt have the patience for that so congrats to you!!i feel that i was very lucky with my set up. when i switched up my fuel hoses and it started right up i couldnt belive it that pretty much the fuel lines were the only problem that i had. and i had to resolder a injector.

No it still isnt working. I'm hooking a switch up to it tonight or tomorrow and I'll start looking around for a vafcII. I'm taking it to the track on sunday and see what I can get out of it. Of course I'm going to have to practice hitting the switch at the right time. I cant wait.

damn you guys have tracks open out there? id be lucky to see one in may. eh just gives me more time to prepare and mess with my EU. I am very curious to see what my max does in a 1/4 and on the dyno when i am completly done with what i am doing. I dont really know what to expect so i am very anxious to dyno it.

Tracks always open the first week in march here.

I checked my codes saturday and I have a P0750, P0400, and P0505. They are definatly hurting me bad. I didnt do good at the track at all.

yay a fellow minnesotan!! just a suggestion if you do the 00vi i would put in all 5th gen parts that way you really dont have to mess with adapters and what not. obviously there are cons with the 5th gen set up(re-tune and solder up injectors) but in all honesty is was a clean install imo. where in the Minnesota do ya live(metro)?

aj i belive i have the same egr code and ivac code i will check later on tonight when i go to work. i dont think those are relavant to your issues. i think it has to do with the p0750 code you are throwing. i dont know how far you investigated this problem but i just did a yahoo search and came up with this off a focus forum lol focus
http://www.obd-codes.com/forums/2743...cus-p0750.html
i know it doesnt have the same symptoms that you have but it defently seems like it can hamper your 1/4
hope that helps

and in addition i would post a new thread so the 00vi gurus can see and help you

Well after I cut the tube and block it off I left it there. The top of the tube is pretty much just sitting in my engine with the sensor still in it and the plug is connected to the IACV.

I am in St. Louis Park. And I agree with you on the cleanest set-up using all parts possible from the donor motor and some tuning. Check your PM.
