Looking over the instructions, I can see how the VIAS assembly would be a restriction at higher rpms.

the butterfly valve is attached to that plate....you are replacing the OEM plate with one without anything attached to it. A pretty simple concept really.

personally i have a ssim on mine. I plan to extend my limiter and cam the car around summer so i dont intend to go back to a stock manifold until i get to street tune and a couple of track days under my belt..
