Looking over the instructions, I can see how the VIAS assembly would be a restriction at higher rpms.

i c in the instructions that the butterfluy is there..... is where you can remove the butterfly?

the butterfly valve is attached to that plate....you are replacing the OEM plate with one without anything attached to it. A pretty simple concept really.

seems to depend on top end. if you have an eextended rev limiter and cams and a full setup beyond 7100rpms is when the kinetix is supposed to be at its best. aside form that my understanding is that the ssim is still an equal to that to a point both give good top end gains.

personally i have a ssim on mine. I plan to extend my limiter and cam the car around summer so i dont intend to go back to a stock manifold until i get to street tune and a couple of track days under my belt..
