Question on 3.5 Pistons.

I have been reading a ton and trying to figure out how i want to build my motor. My original plan was to do pistons, rods, Headgasket, and rods. After lookign i cant find the CR i want and was wondering if the stock pistons are ok. I know the rods are the weak point but was unsure if i can use the oems . Does anyone know what the limits of the stock pistons are? If so can someone point me in the right direction. Any help is appreciated.

But it says that you are looking at 500hp maybe a touch more depending on how good your tune is. It's a good read either way. If you are going to build a motor, I would do rods. They are fairly cheap and omst often come with rodbolts which you'd buy anyway.

what is the compression ratio you are looking for? and yea SNOMAX is right, most aftermarket pistons will come with a set of ARP RB so you do not have to buy them separate.

Besides that the rod bolts that come with aftermarket rods are much stronger than the ones you can buy off the shelf. My eagles came with 3/8" 2000 bolts vs. the 5/16 8740's you can buy seperately.
