Innovate-LC-1-Wideband-o2-With-Db-Red-Gauge-UEGO opinions? help?
Hey all.
I found this on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Innov...5%7C240%3A1308
and was wondering what everyone opinion was on it. I will be wiring it to a Greddy EU via the A/F harness.
Now it says it can't data log which im assuming is from the gauge point of view but once hooked up to an EU I could pretty much use any linear wideband o2 sensor correct? or am I way off?
If im right how abouts do I connect the wideband as it looks like it has a fancy connector coming from it (as seen in the link)
Any help would be appreciated, I did look at the wideband sticky...

AFAIK the lc-1 o2 sensor has a harness that plugs into the actual wb box. So "any linear o2" would probley needed to be spliced.

Is it worth buying that set with my greddy EU?
Tunning wise with a wideband do you only use the wideband sensor to tune it once or does the eu always need to see what the wideband is producing as a voltage to compinsate for the A/F?
Never done this and its hurting my brain, sorry for the stupid questions

BUY IT!!!!
getting a wideband will be the best investment you will ever make on your car if your going to be modding and tuning it. TRUST ME. Not only does it help you tune the car, but its awesome for diagnostics, like when you have a problem for example an o2 giving you issues, some sensor is dying, you'll be able to know if ur A/F is being affected and rule a bunch of things out. its great. and yea you can run a wire that comes from that harness into the emanage and log. you can also log with the lc1's software called LogWorks. the harness or plug has two outlets, one for the gauge or w/e other device you want, and another that you can run it into the emanage.

How come the end of the harness that goes into the guage and the eu look like a 2.5mm plug.It makes sense what you described and its exactly how innovate says to wire the unit though whats up with the 2.5mm plug?
Usually plugs like that carry a ground and positve signal. Should the ground (usually outer metal wire) be stripped away and the positive (usually core wire) be plugged into the EU?
Then that to me makes sense as the a/f harness would connect its positive terminal to the positive wire from the LC-1 and the negative terminal from the a/f harness connect to ground .Then the EU would see a difference in voltage.

How you would hook up the lc-1 to the Eu is the analog #2 One wire goes to the EU a\f harness and the other wire comming off the EU would be a ground to anywhere
Go to the innovate site download manual read up on it. Its alot easier than one would think.
Also make sure that when you do install that you have a really good ground for both the heater ground and system ground. I used the ground off the ecu and im almost postive that my heater ground failed causing my o2 not to heat up.......

LC-1 has datalogging if you hook it up to a laptop, no other cables needed since it's a serial plug at the end of the cable. $200 for a LC-1 and gauge that seems useless is a bit much. It shows u the afr but that's all...
You wont be able to extend the rev limit with the blue or advance the timing on it as easy as you would with the ultimate. IMO Blue=apexi minus the datalogger that the EB has. It is possible I think to advance timing on the blue but you would have to do it like the apexi.

Now saying that this is the product for me correct?
It also comes with a bosch o2 sensor.
Blue is the color which I want gauge color to be in and not red. I have the EU on its way and just wanted to make sure the LC-1 product from ebay will work with the a/f harness for the EU. The guage will just be there to show me my a/f ratio (not for tuning) but just something to keep an eye on while daily driving. Tuning will be done via a laptop connected to the EU.

Lol obviously i thought you were talking about the blue haha.
Anyways yes the lc-1 will work with the EU. The EU is already programed for it. And like what tonedef said the lm-2 is better then the lc-1 but it is a bit more pricey than the lc-1. The lc-1 imo is a good wb for the price. as long as your grounds are good lol
Yah, looks like a joke to wire.
My only concern was that the picture on ebay was lacking wires...
But after this thread and reading the manual I'm good to go.
Thanks

I hate to say it but............................................... ........
But by looking at that picture i could see how someone would be sceptical of that WB(pic) as they dont even show the 6 wires coming out or seven i cant remeber
