Technosquare or UTEC?

Which would be better as far as most power for your dollar? With the TS, I send it and reinstall it and I'm done. The UTEC, I would wait until the PnP harness is released and than have it installed and than tuned. It's more money for sure, but is it worth it?

Also, I do want to do Nitrous at some point. Could you SAFELY run nitrous on a TS flash? I don't wanna do a TS ECU and than have to change it out for a UTEC to safely use Nitrous.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

UTEC is more expensive but what it comes down to is with UTEC you tune it on the spot and it run as a piggyback OR standalone with fuel, timing, raising the rev limiter, and switching between maps all on your laptop in the car.

Technosquare will flash your ECU taking your current mods into account but you'd still run the VAFC for minor AFR tuning adjustments. This is NOT recommended for nitrous since if you want to switch between a somewhat aggressive timing/fuel map for N/A use and then go to a richer, retarded timing map you would not be able to (easily).

If any TS users could step in and confirm/refute my post to make sure it's accurate, that'd be great. I'm wondering if TS could flash two maps on your ECU and let you switch them somehow.

It depends on your mods and how far you plan to go with the car. Ts can do stuff that the utec can't such as change the vtc map. But with the ts you can't change it whenever you want like the utec or have different maps for nitrous and all motor. Ts can give you a tune for nitrous, but that would mean when you aren't spraying it won't be all that well tuned

Technosquare IMHO, too much to do with the UTEC and it really haven't proven itself (to me) to be better than the TS

The EU and vq35 ECU's don't like to play nice. Again this has also been discussed more than a few times before. You guys could probably learn more about this topic in 20 minutes of searching than you could waiting around for responses (half of which either include more questions or speculation).

I knew the EU wasn't good with the VQ35s. The search sucks on this site, we already know that I'll use google to search it and see what I can find.

Did you actually check with TS?? I emailed them asking for pricing and turnaround times like a month ago and they said they could do it...

I also called and talked to them the other day and they said that I could tell them what my mods were and they would build me a map. I also asked if I could get a 7500rpm redline too and they said yeah but they weren't responsible if something happened (duh!)

Guess I'll just have to be patient til Surra releases his harness for the UTEC. I guess in the meantime, I could just get the TS flash and than when he does release the harness, sell my ECU for someone else's stock ECU + cash and have it "re-keyed" or whatever you have to do at the Nissan dealer.

So TS offers an extended rev limiter!? I wonder if they've gone back to modifying 95-96ECU's..... I should give them a call.
