it runs, and i have a couple of witnesses to it running, and a vid should be coming up soon.

picking up an axle tomorrow, and seeing about the exhaust. probably try and take care of that on monday. then i will be terrorizing the streets.

Cool. Glad it was something simple! Just let me know when you want to take it to the track and we'll have a track meet, even if it's just me and you.

been alittle preoccupied....can u blame me, i drove it today and good news is the clutch feels amazing, the car has no vibrations what so ever. the motor was breaking up as if it was not getting enough fuel as soon as the revs were over 4k.

I should be hitting the track again at Coastal Plains the Friday after next. Hopefully, you can make it out.

A fuel pressure gauge is a very good thing to have. I installed mine with a T-fitting and a small fuel injection rubber hose so I can put the gauge under my windshield wiper and read it while at WOT.

can anybody help me with the idle? here is whats happening i start the car and its quite difficult to start, but it will rev to like 3500 on start up, drop to 1600 idle there for 2-3 secs then drops to 700 normal idle but the motor is cold it will stay there for about 4 secs, and this is whats bugging me it will then drop to 300-400rpm, and it will idle there for about 10secs, but the strange part about that is the car does not respond to the pedal being depressed. its almost like its off but its not off.

It seems like it almost flooding the cylinders with fuel on start up so i have taken away as much fuel as i can, i need to get a friend over here so he can tell me what the fuel pressure is on start up, because it can idle on 30psi, it was doing it yesterday even thou the idle was like 2600rpm(vac leaks)

TPS in spec? and your breaking up issue might be that crank POS sensor....any codes? Congrats on having a 3.5 swap !

dude... told you ages ago to adjust the TPS sensor. You put the path finder on and you have to adjust that sensor or you probably will have idle problems kind of like what your having now. Check the FSM and get it in spec. then re drive and see..

i just disconnected the TPS, to see if it would help at all and it didnt. the only difference is now, it will start normally and the revs go up to 2k then drops to 1600, and then drops to 700 then teh 300-200 range and just dies from there, the fuel pressure is still low, its at 30psi. 30psi was supporting a high idle and revs up 4500rpm the other day when the car had vac leaks, i even drove it up and down the street, now that i dont have vac leaks it wont respond to the accelerator being depressed

i discovered a problem just now there was a pocket of air in the coolant hose were the coolant temp sensor sits, yes i did bleed the system but i still got a pocket of hot air. so i just got rid of that i will try again after lunch.

no.... adjusting the TPS is making sure the ohms are within a specifc parameter with the throttle closed, then between a specific parameter with the throttle wide open.

Check the FSM and do it. Each time you take off the TPS you need to re do it.

The adjustment is done but loosening the bolts that hold it, then slowly turning the tps clockwise or counter close wise to get it within spec. Once you have it. Tighten it down and dont move it. Once you have it adjusted there should be no need to take if off again, unless it goes bad.

yea i know that, just even with the TPS not inspec the car should respond to the throttle being depressed. thats why i was saying it was not that, but i will try that if its still acting the same thou.

it can respond to the throttle being pressed but if its not calibrated to understand what is full throttle and wat is closed so it can calculate the in between why would it respond properly?

from what i understand i need to get teh car to warm up anyway to set the TPS, so i will need to get it to respond to the throttle to get it to warm up.
