Piggy-back programer

Thinking about buying a Venom 400 Piggy-back programer for my '96 GXE A/T. Not wanting this to be something that drinks up my gas when i'm just driving normally but, still adds a bunch of get-up when i punch it or plug it in. Anybody used this programer?

well, i've heard people say that it does nothing but confuses your computer in terms of the throttle position however there are alot of people who claim they have them on their cars and that they work great.

Yeah, after talking to some people i've found out that the Venom 400 does nothing but, confuse your ECU into thinking your pushing the gas even more.
