Hmmm, the AMS rules states "All seats (front and back), door panels, dash, and carpet (front and back) must remain inside vehicle. "
I see no carpet or rear seats in that car.
Either way, I think it may be hard for a Maxima to beat a hatch that has been fully built up for an NA setup.

You're confusing the vids w/ the cars, those cars are for other classing. Not AMS

I may just have to do some shady things to get my car down to a lighter weight when that magical day the Altima motor is in my car..... Meh that's another thread for another time, I just want a running maxima w/ some 12 sec time slips for now.

He fits into import face off all motor pro rules though.

2010 Maxima UIM and LIM....... 75mm and MUCH bigger ports.... or use a tapered spacer from 84mm down to 71mm, just to keep velocity high.... or get in line with sparks03max for a custom... all these choices.

EDIT: Do you see a spare 2010 Maxima UIM laying around anywhere?

Nope, chopping off the elbow and welding on some pipe near around 84mm ID and adapter... Someone once told me to "keep the changes in diameter in the intake to a minimum"

And no, sollddd it

the hatch did follow all AMS rules apparently ...had all factory body panels, glasses, interiors, weight, and all the necessary safety, ie.. cage, scattershield, under carry tray, etc

and it was a stroked out K series to a 2.7L made 400whp ALL motor ... scary ... lol

What did you end up deciding on for cams? The last 3.5 swap I did had BC's, jwt 7,200, rev z33 IM w/spacers & portwork (And a HIDEOUS hood scoop), arp's, rev-up pump, cleaned up & portmatched heads and im's, etc etc etc. That car sounded like a beast, you're gonna love that thing once it's all done.

Also, for future reference or for anyone reading this- To break crank pulleys loose- put the belt on, loop it around 360* & tuck it into itself & hook the extra loop around the motor mount. I probably have pics somewhere around but there should be youtube videos as this works on any car, I once bent a 3/4" round breaker on a tundra w/6' pipe attached to it this way!

Don't take this as me being mad or defensive, it's an easy mistake but you're mixing up the unorganized **** talking/what-ifs/crap/randomness/i-wishes that is this thread, it's a ghustle thread for the A/M forum sort of...

Quick summary

At the beginning I had planned on doing a cammed 07+ Altima motor with some minor port work and gutting the UIM, tuning achieved via some Z33 standalone (NOT UTEC!!!)...
As I later learned it really doesn't matter what cams you get, all of them are different in their own ways but you are able to fine tune your setup around the cams to get what you want out of them (EG plenum volume, intake size, length, head ports, valve sizes).

But I think I will end up going w/ BC's stage 2.

...But then I blow ups mah 3.0 (just a head gasket, but it's not worth my time to do just a HG) and I decide to to a ghetto 3.5 fixer upper which includes.... (All will be FS when I get the Altima motor BTW )

06 Max Motor 61k miles
Z33 UIM w/ 3.5ID elbow/pipe
Q45 TB
Q45 Maf
3.5" ID Intake
Rev-Up Cams
380CC injectors
3.0L Timing+Electronics
Super Ghetto Tuning Solution (Will go into detail later).

mated to what I already have which is....

OBX 3.5 Headers, 3" TP, Cattman 3", 6mt HLSD w/ a 4.1 FD

Lolz will ensue.

it's terrible, but it may work, i wish my 3.0 worked a little bit longer to fully test it, only thing I got to do was put the theory on paper, never got to implement it.

Gimme a month or so....

Buying a water pump after I get paid today, and then that's it! Motor is getting re-assembled next week *squeeee*
