Q45 MAF

Q45 MAF
Sorry for no before/after dynos or anything but I'm successfully running the Q45 MAF with my hybrid 3.5 swapped 98. I searched and only found one other mention of someone running this MAF but no real info. Below is how I went about adapting it to my setup.
Wiring is it in is a joke.

Red - +12v
White - Signal
Black - Ground
Q45
Black w/ White stripe - +12v (could also be black with red stripe)

Black - Ground
A lightning MAF adapter will work if you re-drill it. It's a little larger than the MAF opening but a 3.5" coupler will still stretch over it.
I used this for the IACV port.
It's for silicone couplers no larger than 3" but you can easily bend it out a little for a 3.5" coupler.
I'm still waiting for my velocity stack. So I just took the filter off my other car and shoved it into the MAF adapter for now.
The bay is 100% beater status but here it is installed:
I'm using 01 in 04 out on my VAFCII and I increased my fuel pressure to 70 psi. I still have a lot of messing around to do but the VAFCII only making corrections 1000rpm and up is the reason for the crazy high fuel pressure.
The midrange feels healthier but I haven't really pushed it due to lack of tuning.

nicely done man,i also have a Q45 MAF but i havent done any before and after dynos ,but i felt it pulls a little more in the top end(maybe my Z33 IM with 5/8 spacer helps too)
i have a VAFC2 and DE-K injectors and i had to had something like 8-9% almost everywhere,i ant to get all the parts to do a returnless fuel sistem and then i will tune it to perfection

I SSIM'd the intake a few days before I installed the MAF to get an idea of what each mod would do. The Q45 MAF definitely compliments the SSIM.
I wasn't expecting a noticable midrange increase from just the MAF but the power just comes on sooner and smoother than before. The top end obviously pulls harder too.
