Vq35 hr vq30 timing

Currently swapping in a 2011 maxima hr engine using vq30 timing. Question being the intake downs are 180 off compared to my vq35 swap adapters . If o drill the cams 180 out and use the adapters will that get the intake timing better then just spacing them out with a longer dowl?

You don't want to just run a longer dowel with the Gen 2 Cams, there's an old thread buried in here if you want to drill your cams.

I also make cam adapters for this swap if you'd rather go that route.

On the intake cams the HR cam dowel location is 14 cam degrees or 28 crank degrees off from 180.

Here's info for an Altima 3.5 HR headed 3.0 timing swap, drilling for a new dowel location on the intake cams.
